When I think of childhood, family and the overall energy of life I see bold, rich, vibrant colors that carry as much joy and your hearts. I believe that the everyday-ordinary moments should not only be deeply cherished, but also lovingly documented in all of its wild chaotic glory. As a mother, my years of wanting to stop time while making mud pies, having tea parties, wrestling with my kids or just staring at them while they tell a wild story full of wonder…that’s why I love what I love so deeply. That’s why I light up when children are so caught up in the magic of creative imagination or loud, joy filled play. Childhood lays in the details like the sparkle in their eyes, the crayons laid out for making treasure maps, the cardboard boxes turned into kingdoms or the messy kitchen as the one day chef emerges. Our family, our love, our life is tucked into all of these little details. These moments in between the years hold our hearts…that’s the good stuff.
