To the rad dreaded girl that changed me whole life. Next week you move to Ethiopia to flood the hospital with Christ’s love as Brad answers a 4 year prayer for an administrator.
I remember years ago I saw you with your two babes & prayed I could become friends with someone so on fire. God answered my silent heart prayers with one of the deepest friendships I’ll ever know.
You have taught me what it means to press in with all my strength to the comfort of our God. What it means to love with a heart of Jesus to every soul. My walk in our father is stronger, richer & more authentic than it ever has been because if you. You’ve taught me the richness of laughter, the goodness in being silly & the importance of grace. You’ve spoken wisdom into my journey of motherhood & marriage that I pull from daily. This grasping for heaven on earth & tangible relationship has grown deep because of your love. I love you deeper than you’ll ever know. Your work in our lives has filled your storehouses in heaven.
I know that texting late in the night, phone calls & coffee dates will come again some day. The mountain biking, adventure hiking & girls nights out will quietly wait for you. I know you’ll return to us someday to laugh, reconnect & walk the paths of these woods so familiar. But for now we must say, I’ll see you soon. Because what feels like an eternity & all the distance in the world is but a blip on the grand timeline of God. So my sweet friend, I love you, it’ll seem like forever, but I’ll see you soon.
