The First Sun

(null)

There’s so many friends who are walking through the hard, the thick, the heavy seasons. Whether it’s a financial crisis, calendars filled beyond our capacity or hearts allowing the hurt of goodbye to touch in order to fully experience his love we all are trudging through.

I feel like God knew his children needed this break. That this break of warmth lets us turn our faces heavenward. To be warmed by his love. The spring comes early every year only for a moment before winter reclaims it’s season in order to finish its time every year.

How good is God to give us breaks in our tough seasons. Even though he walks beside us & we draw strength from him alone he still knows his children need a moment. To catch our breath. To kneel & pray. To shake it off so that we can keep enduring. Never does God make us wade through the storms without breaking the clouds briefly. We are given moments to breath in the freshness so we can endure the stagnant.

I’ve been listening to the song by JJ Heller “The Sun Will Rise” song by so much lately. It has become my anthem & my own personal song. I sing it over house chores, dishes, job #2 & to my sweet boy who is learning the depths of perseverance in love. Supporting your loves through medical career/education is exhausting but just as this winter will pass so shall each season God brings.

“Sometimes it feels like forever
When it’s dark outside
Baby the sun will rise
Baby the sun will rise
However long the night
If you lose your way
And your heart is torn
My love sing loud
Louder than a thunderstorm
Sometimes it feels like forever
When it’s dark outside
Baby the sun will rise
Baby the sun will rise
However long the night
And when you feel afraid
And you see shadows on the wall
Wherever there is love
There is no fear at all”
