I think that so many times we feel there is only one way to answer our prayers. That God must bless in such & such way in order for it to be counted as good. Our vision is from human eyes while he sees the spans of time & every detail in between.
My mother once told me don’t pray for xyz, just pray for his will. Pray you’ll have a heart of understanding to see as he does when answers come. Pray that you can see the blessing in the unknown & that you’ll have a trusting joyous heart. No baby don’t pray for stuff, just pray for him to bless you the best & your heart will always be the fullest. Our blessings may come in hard roads, in tight budgets, in a change of seasons of starting or ending careers, in new adventures or the everyday mundane. Blessings may not be what we pray but that doesn’t mean they aren’t a blessing. It just means it’s tied with a different now.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:11-13
